Illegal Drugs Discovered After Accident

On January 2, 2024 Deputies were dispatched to Highway 118 west of Joiner in reference to an accident involving property damage.  Deputies noticed a blue Chevy Sonic had run into a camper and Ford F250 that was parked on private property.  The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene and was later located and brought back to the scene of the accident.  The driver was identified as Javander Williams.  After investigating the scene, Deputies located approximately 2 ½ pounds of Ecstasy pills.

Javander Williams (46) was transported to the Mississippi County Detention Center and charged with the following;

Trafficking a Controlled Substance

Tampering with Evidence

Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage

 

Mr. Williams was issued a $250,000 bond by Judge Cathrine Dean.
